Hello all, let’s start off with the International Convention, which was held in Tampa, FL this year. It was very warm and humid down there. Dawn Hill, Cindy Langland, Cathy Bickerton and I made the trip up to Moosehaven. It is a very nice community and everyone that we met there was very friendly and thankful for what we do for them.

The new Supreme Governor is Edward Kitchen from Alabama, the new Grand Regent is Kim Petite a member of the Janesville Lodge and Mike Hauf is the Moose Legion President from Minong, North Dakota. Appointments from Wisconsin are Mark Penzkover to the Supreme Council from Muskego, Matt Boardman on the International Activities Committee, Joe Martin - Deputy Supreme Governor from Beloit, Heidi Jacobs - Deputy Grand Regent from Rice Lake and finally Margaret Achter to the Women Supreme Council from Green Bay.

We had four Premier Lodges in Wisconsin this year, they were Eau Claire, Racine, Marinette, and Sheboygan. Let’s show these members that we appreciate what they do for this great fraternity. Both the men and the women membership numbers dropped about 12,000 each.

The calendar in August is a busy one. The meetings are on the 7th and the 21st. With Euchre and Line Dancing every Tuesday evening. Wednesday brings us an afternoon dance from 1 until 4 and BINGO every Thursday night. New payouts are in effect if the number of people playing are over 90, so why not come down and try your luck?

Moose International introduced a new program called “Valued Veterans” in 2016. The focus is to recognize and support Moose veterans for their ongoing service to their fraternal units and communities through the Moose. We will have a “Valued Veteran Night” scheduled for August 19th to honor veterans that belong to our lodge. We will be doing a “Build Your Own Pizza Party” that night also. Come down and thank our members that served our country. If you are a veteran, please contact Moose International to get registered as a “Valued Veteran.”

We will we be hosting a Veterans’ Kickball Tournament again this year on the 26th. Also on the 26th is a District meeting only at 11 am in Bloomer. On the 19th is the state Horseshoe Tournament in Monroe.

Watch your newsletter for other upcoming new events that your Board of Officers are working on.
